Roadmap

Throughout this memo we will explore the standards AMDP holds as a company, direct standard similarities Dexcom holds, a synopsis of the social and financial backgrounds of Dexcom, and overall their accessibility and integrations of their products.

AMDP Standards

When beginning to understand Dexcom's history, the main line of consideration were these four core standards of AMDP that are reflected in every operation and investment.

  • Triple Bottom Line: In addition to financial performance social and environmental performances should also be priorities. There are three P’s of this practice; profit, financial return for stakeholders, people, a commitment to positively impact society, and the planet, the effect a company has on the environment (Miller, 2020).
  • Corporate Social Responsibility: Companies have a responsibility to the society they operate in. they should inhabit environmental, ethical, philanthropic, and economic responsibility. These practices all ensure there is operation both internally and externally is fair and driven (Stobierski, 2021).
  • Social Enterprise: When a company has specific social objectives they adhere to as their main goal of operation. Their goals are to generate profit along with reaching social, economical, and environmental highs in their mission (Osberg, Martin, 2023).
  • Carbon Footprint: The total amount of greenhouse gases that are created and released by the actions of an individual or a company. Immense carbon footprints lead to rising global temperatures, seal levels, and extreme weather conditions. A carbon footprint can be measured through credible quiz calculations from environmental organizations. Which measure the use of travel, use of electricity and other gases, food and service consumptions. Lowering a footprint is a long joint effort to reduce the catastrophic global events that affect our daily lives (Nature Conservancy, n.d).
